Chris Haberman

This is one of my favorite Portland artists, if you live in Portland you probably have run into him a time or two cause he's everywhere. View his website here:

http://www.chrishaberman.com

This painting just makes me happy,
like little folks rule!

Michael Fields

This was one of the first paintings I ever bought. It was made by one very hard working open source web writer, author of:

http://www.blackmarketculture.com
and
http://www.artpdx.com
and
http://www.mfields.org
and
many many more!

as well as the editor of Invision and curator of numerous shows around Portland,
as well as..........
the artist, painter of this painting titled Speechless

It was only $25, a real steal considering his work has already more than doubled in value and is continuing to grow and change.

Mike is also the person gave me the courage to learn html and css

Chuck Bloom

This is the tiniest painting I own. See the little dots holding up the canvas?....those are pushpins! This painting is only 1" X 2" in size! It was only $25! Chuck is also a very prolific painter and has hundreds of these to choose from! Check out his show in Portland's Smallest gallery at only 3.5' high!

Invision

This is another book published by Another Sky Press:

http://www.anothersky.org

It is a collection of local Portland artists who are all participants in a website called:

http://www.artpdx.org

It was only $20,
I found it at a local shop called: the Tender Loving Empire

Check out the spread on Chris Haberman,
I will be writing more about him later!

Mario Robert III

This is a Day of the Dead pendant I purchased for only $15 at the Foster art walk in 2007. It is completely one of a kind and hand painted. I am hopeing that soon I will be able to buy something much larger from Mario, but we'll see. Isn't this beautiful!

Sandy Allen

Sandy Allen is one of my favorite artists in the whole world. She is so independant from anything in reality, her paintings are like a true manifestation of her brain. Every time I look at my Sandy Allen pieces, I am drawn into another bizaar world of floating llamas and buffalo dances. Sandy is Alaskan native and does not really like the fact that she looks just like Bjork to everyone else. All of these pieces were trade. Sandy is very hard to find, I think only my e-mail or pilgamage to Rockford, Illinois. Look for the field with the haystacks and she will be standing on top of one of them looking at the clouds.

Kendra Binney

Check out this cool print I got from Kendra Binney. It was only $25 and is mounted on wood, gloss coated, and ready to hang.

Check out more of Kendra's work here:

Art Books by Jesse Reno

I purchased these two cool books from a local printing company called Another Sky Press
Check out their webpage at:

http://www.anothersky.org

The artist who created the books is Jesse Reno.
Check out his website here:

http://www.jessereno.com

The first book is a collection of Jesse's art called The truth will measure and the second is a coloring book of drawings by jesse. It is called outside the lines

and Check out the second picture for one of the pages I colored in the coloring book, Rad

Klutch

I actually had this piece custom made by Klutch, the VK Grand Pumba (Vinyl Killers) for a trade.
This guy is so talented! Check out his myspace:

http://www.myspace.com/klutchie

I was going to use it as a patch for a coat I was sewing and then decided it was too sweet to sacrifice for fashion and I decided to hang it on my art wall instead. (And check out his spread in Time magazine, oh my!)

Julie Zarate

I also purchased this sweet little find on etsy.com
It was only $10 and it is the ORIGINAL
It is one of a kind!
Please check out this artists webpage at:

http://www.six06.com

Michelle Caplan

I got this beautiful 6" X 8" collage on etsy.com
Check out her personl website:

http://www.michellecaplan.com

I paid $25 for this sweet little piece and love it!
I think what I liked about her piece was the face
and the line work. It is also very well crafted and coated in clear medium to preseve the paper. My guess is it will fade over time, but I think this will actually add to the overall vintage effect so I am not worried about it. ( :
